All Plans Include:
API and Session Control
We offer a complete and robust API to manage your documents, routes, deliveries and their respective settings, as well as perform additional actions on files, like Compress, Convert, Encrypt, and Split.
With sessions, you can gather data from multiple sources prior to initiating a merge submission.
Data Routing
Routes make it possible to create multiple documents and doc types, or create one document from multiple templates, all from a single data submission.
Delivery Integrations
All plans include all available delivery methods. We’ve developed connectors for the most popular platforms and methods.
Security and Support
All data is 256 bit encrypted in transit and at rest. We operate on major data centers that meet security requirements for HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP, and more. We’re ready to assist, and eager to further support your document automation goals. Give us a shout as needed.
No additional costs.

Footnotes:
- Free Trial is available for the Starter plan only (not Starter Max or higher). Credit card is collected at sign-up. If not cancelled or upgraded within 14 days of sign-up, billing will automatically commence on day 15 with Starter plan pricing. ↩︎
- Actions are single executions of a process; a data merge with a template, a route merge of a document, a delivery action, or API Tool actions (Combine, Compress, Convert, Encrypt, and Split). ↩︎
- Tests are ‘Actions’ too, but count as free actions when “Test Mode” is set on the document or route, or the “test=1” flag is passed in POST. When exceeding the allotted tests of your plan, additional tests count as standard/billable actions. ↩︎
- Templates are your predefined content documents, like a Microsoft Word document or fillable Adobe PDF document, with variables imbedded that are replaced with the data you send for those variables. ↩︎
Frequently asked questions:
Can I cancel at anytime?
Yes, you can cancel anytime no questions are asked while you cancel but we would highly appreciate if you will give us some feedback.
How secure is DocuMerge?
DocuMerge leverages military-grade end-to-end encryption of your data in transit and at rest. We’re HIPAA compliant, and offer BAAs on select plans.
How does pricing work?
Our subscriptions are tiered. We offer monthly or annual subscriptions. Annual subscriptions are discounted 10%. Actions reset every month. Additional actions and users may be purchased as a subscription separately.
Can I migrate my settings from another provider?
We support Smarty template engine code, and offer a migration tool for Formstack Documents (fka WebMerge). There will only be a few manually actionable items after import to complete the migration.
What are Templates?
Templates are HTML blocks or office documents like Word, Excel, or fillable Adobe PDF. Inside your templates, you define your data variables. When you send your data to a template, the data is output in the final document where ever you’ve defined your variables for that data within the document template. This process is called “Merging”. We merge your incoming data, with your document template, to product a document.
What is a Route?
While you can send your data directly to a specific document template for document generation, you may find the need to generate multiple documents from one dataset, combine additional local or remote files to a generated document, or define which document template to use based on the data sent. Routes enable you to create workflows accomplishing these tasks.
