The Visual Editor provides a highly detailed method for creating your documents, offering a wide range of styling options and the ability to upload images for a more customized and polished result.
You have the flexibility to choose between two types of editors: the Visual Editor (WYSIWYG), which offers a user-friendly interface, and the Code Editor, which provides more control and precision for those comfortable with coding. Below are steps how to use Document Builder and all the features it provides.
The Visual Editor interface is organized into three key sections:
- the toolbar
- the main editor
- action buttons.
The toolbar, much like those found in other document creation tools, offers a wide array of options to enhance your document creation experience. It includes features for printing, editing, inserting images and tables, formatting text, and even viewing the source code. With these tools readily accessible, you can easily customize your document to your specific requirements.
The main editor is main part of the Visual Editor, where the actual content creation takes place. This is where you can craft and design your document. The main editor also supports Smarty Templating Language, allowing you to incorporate dynamic fields into your document. This enables you to create highly customizable and responsive content that can adapt to various contexts and data inputs.
The action buttons provide a variety of essential functions. These include the ability to save your document, switch between editors (with the Visual Editor set as the default, which can be easily changed to the Code Editor by clicking the Switch To Code Editor button), and edit the document’s header and footer.
Additionally, you can review the document’s version history to track changes and revisions, and add merge fields to dynamically incorporate data into your content. These features ensure you have full control over every aspect of your document, enhancing both its functionality and customization.
