Dropbox Sign Delivery Method

Dropbox Sign is a digital signature service that allows users to sign, send, and manage documents online. Documerge supports Dropbox Sign as a delivery method, allowing you to seamlessly deliver merged documents to your Dropbox Sign system.

To start click the + New Delivery button to open a modal where you should select Dropbox Sign. Settings modal will open where you will be presented with several required and optional fields:

There are three main fields, Dropbox Sign API KeyEmail Subject and Signee.

Dropbox Sign API Key
This required field must be obtained from the Dropbox Sign dashboard. Log in to your Dropbox Sign account, navigate to the API section on the dashboard, and then click Generate key to create your API key.

Email subject
Email subject that will be shown to user when document is sent.

Signee
The Signee fields specify the key information required for signatures, including NameEmail, and options for Signee and CC. You can add multiple signees to the merged documents. Name and Email can leverage merged fields and use any dynamic values to them.

Documerge also provides a range of customizable options when utilizing the Dropbox Sign delivery method:

Always send to Dropbox Sign:
This option will be selected by default. If you unselect it, you can add conditionals to specify in which case the email should be sent. Document fields are also available and can be used for conditionals.

Customize email message to sender
Except email subject you can customize email message send to user too.

Customize client_id
This option refers to personalizing or configuring the client ID associated with your application. The client ID is used to identify your app when making API requests, allowing you to tailor the integration and branding experience for your users.

Delay this delivery
If you need to delay the delivery of an email, this option is useful. You can postpone sending the email for up to 30 days.

After document is delivered, send callback to
When selected it will send a notification (callback) to a specified URL or endpoint once a document has been successfully delivered or signed.

If an error occurs, send an email to
If an error occurs while using this delivery method, a notification can be sent to the specified email address.
