Preserving Font Types in Office Documents

While common font types are typically not an issue, there are instances, especially with less common font types, that our system will not support that type natively. To ensure your documents generated from office document templates maintain their original font formatting, we recommend you embed your font-type into the office document.

While common font types are typically not an issue, there are instances, especially with less common font types, that our system will not support that type natively. To ensure your documents generated from office document templates maintain their original font formatting, we recommend you embed your font-type into the office document.

  1. Open Your Template

    Ensure you have the most recent copy of your office document template. If necessary, download it from “Manage File” tab of your your document template in DocuMerge. With your most recent copy, open in in your Microsoft Office application.

  2. Enable Font Embedding

    Windows: File > Options > Save > Embed fonts in the file
    Mac: Preferences > Save > Embed fonts in the file

  3. Save and Upload

    Once complete, save your document and upload it as a new version to your document template under the “Manage File” tab.
